Scottish Coutryside was designed as part of a contest sponsored by Unicorn Books. Unfortunately, the project as outlined by them never came to fruition. All yarn used in the original was Alice Starmore Scottish Campion. As this yarn in no longer available in North America, Shetland yarn from Jamieson & Smith is being used. In some cases the colors and yarns are identical.

The pattern calls for skeins in the old put-up of 150 yds/oz.
