I created this pattern originally from my handspan yarns made from my spinner’s sheep flock 20 years ago. Recently, after many requests, I redesigned it for commercial wool and wool blend yarns.

Wool is a great insulator!
It doesn’t readily burn and is absorbent.
This pattern also makes a great dish cloth or face cloth when knit on smaller needles-- size 4-6US.
