A slouchy, lacy, cabled beanie hat. Less than 2 balls of yarn, designed to fit both a child and an adult.

Skills required
You will need to be able to work a simple cable with lace and pick up and work a 2x2 rib. This hat could not be easier in its construction. It is worked as a rectangle which is drawn in at the top with a ribbed hem added. There are no shapings, the combination of stitches worked to the correct tension lend themselves to this slouchy beanie design.

Materials required
You will need:
• One pair of straight 8mm needles (US 11)
• a 6mm circular needle
• a cable needle and a tapestry needle for sewing.

Tension
• 17sts x 16 rows to 10cm x 10cm over pattern using 8mm needles.

Amount of yarn
(1 ball = 100g (approx 110m / 120yds))
