Use your chunky scraps or hold multiple yarns together to make these seed stitch baskets.

The larger basket uses two different colors of Lion Brand Wool-Ease Chunky and came out to about 10 inches/25.4 cm square at the base with sides that are 2.5 inches/ 6.35 cm tall.

The smaller one is Bernat Cotton Tots and Knit Picks Swish DK held together and it came out to 6 inches/15.24 cm square for the base with sides that are 1.5 inches/3.8 cm tall.

Both of them were worked until I was about to run out of yarn. Vary the size of the base by casting on more or fewer stitches, or using bigger or smaller yarn and corresponding needles. Change yarn more often as you run out, or make one all with the same yarn like my blue one.

They’re fun as nesting baskets or you can make a giant one using all your leftover yarns.
