Scrap yarn micro dragon
This is an intermediate level amigurimi pattern. No sew.
Can use any size of yarn. For the head, use 3 hook sizes smaller than recommended for yarn. For the body, use one size larger than recommended for the yarn. As an example, Bernat Blanket recommends 8mm. So I would use a 6mm for the head (going down three sizes with: 7mm, 6.5mm, 6mm), and 9mm for the body (going up one size).
This is a great project for stashbusting and scrap yarn. For any scraps lighter than bulky, I’ll hold them double/triple/quadruple until I have at least a bulky weight. This is also a great opportunity for marling.
This was inspired by Serendipity Designs by Amanda Rey, who has many larger and more intricate patterns with this construction style.
