Scrapknit NO4 Summer purse
There will be leftovers no matter what project you finish, and this pattern is the 4th in a series that uses scrap yarn in a specific quality. In this pattern I have chosen to use scraps of DK cotton yarn or fingering weight cotton yarn held double. This little bag is knitted either flat with a new strand for every needle to create a frilled edge on one side, or in the round as in the other version. The colorful version with frills is knitted with all kinds of colors and different cotton yarns. The blue and white striped version is knitted with one type of cotton yarn in 2 different colors. The bag is finished with an icord as an edge and a longer icord as a strap. The strap is knitted a bit longer than the desired length and tied to the bag through a hole made in each side. You can then easily replace the strap if you want in a different color or a use a strap in a different material. The ties make it easier to adjust length as it wears.
