This hat is super easy, is a lot of fun to knit, and looks great. It is a great way to use yarn from your stash - particularly those dinky balls and smaller amounts!

For the colors: you can choose similar colors (will result in a sort of marled/tweedy effect), or choose fun colors that will look good together. The most fun aspect of this is picking various colors - it is so fun to see how the hat turns out. And each one is unique!

I designed this hat for two strands of worsted weight to be held together. That’s my favorite - it results in a thick, cozy, fun hat. But if you have thinner yarns, I’ve also provided instructions for holding two thin yarns together (worsted weight result).
