This is the 3rd hat in my trilogy of scrappy hats.

This is a great pattern to use your worsted weight scraps. It will take approximately 100 grams to make both the hat and Pom Pom. I like making the cuff one color and then let whatever scraps I have determine how I will make my stripes. There isn’t a wrong or right way…..every stripe pattern will be perfect. Knitting your whole hat in one color is a great too.

This Scrappy hat is based on a slouch hat that was knit for me by my sweet grandma and included in her package filled with hand knit hats, mittens, scarfs or slippers…….plus a chocolate bar for our family to share! Can you tell she was from Holland?
To me hand knits, chocolate, marzipan, wooden shoes & windmills all say “Grandma”.
