Do you want to learn how to crochet? Do you have tons of scraps? Are you looking for a super fast, easy project (especially for charity)? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then this is the square for you!

This square was designed to use up all of your scraps! It is completely customizable. You can use ANY yarn and ANY hook to make it in ANY size. Whatever you want!

This is a perfect project for beginners, with detailed instructions and photo tutorials for techniques such as starting with an adjustable ring, clean color changes, using different yarn weights, and an easy way to weave in ends in crochet. To make this square you only need to know how to chain, double crochet, and slip stitch.

There are 2 files that you can download, a large file and a small one. The ONLY difference between the two is that the larger file has higher quality photos in the tutorials. However, as the title suggests, the file size is quite a bit larger. If you are planning on following the photo tutorials, I suggest you download the larger file. If you are a little more experienced and don’t think you’ll need them, I suggest you try the smaller file.

If you’re looking for a good way to use up some scraps but don’t have enough to make a full blanket, why don’t you make an 8x8” square and sent it to Knit A Square? Knit A Square is a wonderful charity that creates blankets for AIDS orphans in Africa. Every square helps!
