A simple stash busting blanket with a big impact! I went searching for a stash busting blanket and just could not find the perfect one, so I decided to design one myself! This blanket makes use of all yarn weights from fingering to worsted, making it an ideal project to put a dent in your scrap stash. The i-cord edge gives the finished product a polished look, and helps to keep a nice clean edge despite the various yarn weights used. Knit on the bias this pattern will showcase all of those beautiful speckled and variegated yarns you’ve been saving.

To accomplish the size of the sample blanket you will want approximately 1000g of yarn. Yardage will vary based on the weights of the yarns used. Don’t be afraid to be creative here! You could even add in mohair or other lace weight yarns for texture as well. All of the yarn used in the sample were superwash yarns to ensure easy washability of the finished product. Depending on the yarn weight you will either be holding your yarn single or double.

Yarn combinations used:
Fingering weight held double
Sport weight held double
DK weight held single
Worsted weight held single
