This is a simple ribbing pattern that just gives an interesting texture. I hope you can find a rhythm in the pattern and maybe take a little screen break with this hat!

DK weight stitch counts and sizes (measured hat will be smaller, due to ribbing texture)
120 stitches (20 inches), 128 stitches (21.33 inches), 136 stitches (22.66 inches)

The crown of this hat will be deep, so take that into account when determining the length of the body you desire. Each set of decreases (8 rounds) is roughly .75 inches tall, and decreases the circumference by 2 inches around. It is a slower decrease, making for a wider top of the hat. The dark blue sample (120 stitch size) shown has 3 sets decreases (24 rounds) and a wider top, while the marled version (120 stitch size) has 4 sets of decreases (32 rounds). The blue version has a 7 inch ribbing+body, the marled has a 6 inch ribbing folded+body, they end up being the same length, but the marled version is a bit snugger fit due to the additional taper. If you are knitting the 128 or 136 stitch sizes, I would plan for 4 sets of decreases or more.
