This lightweight cowl is just the thing for breezy evenings on the porch or just going grocery shopping in chilly air-conditioning. Cool, drapey yarns pair up with a single layer of fabric to create the body of the cowl, while bias tape on the edges adds structure and interest.

The cowl is constructed by loosely knitting a length of bias knitting with random stripes thrown in here and there, sewing the knitting to a similarly shaped piece of fabric, joining the knitting and fabric into a loop, and finishing the edges with bias tape.

The cowl requires less than one skein of the A-174 and just a few yards of the other yarns. Fabric-wise, it takes half a yard for the body of the cowl and a fat quarter for the binding.
