This is the little project your looking for if you want a quick on-the-go project that is both fun to make and very useful. The Scrub-A-Dubby has become my go to project to make, stash and give as little gifts to friends and family. Quick, mindless and addictive!! I’ll bet you can’t make just one.

The pattern is written for the 20 peg CinDWood 5/8” gauge round loom. However, a chart is included that tells the sizes and number of rows needed for 5/8” gauge looms with anywhere from 12 to 24 pegs.

A photo tutorial is included that illustrates how to do the Double Peg Drawstring Cast On. This cast on eliminates the bulk when closing the cast on edge. Also, another technique is described to eliminate the bulk for the gathered bind off.

Any 100% worsted weight cotton can be used. These are some of the different cotton yarns that I’ve used:

The total amount of yarn used is approximately 60 yards or 30 yards of Scrubby and 30 yards of cotton.

ScrubaDubby Song by momcook
Parody of Rubber Duckie

ScrubaDubby, you’re the one
You make housework so much fun
ScrubaDubby, I’m awfully fond of you

ScrubaDubby, in my home
When I squeeze you, you make foam
ScrubaDubby, my very best friend it’s true

Everyday when I
Make my way to the dishes
I find a little fella all round and pretty and fluffy
Scrub-ba-dub-a-dubby

ScrubaDubby, can’t make just one
You make knit time so much fun
ScrubaDubby, I’m awfully fond of you
