This pattern is a basic fitted A-line raglan sweater worked top-down and in the round, with alternated slip stitch and stockinette sections in 4 different colors.

This pattern was written for a 1” negative ease to no ease fit in 3 sizes, with a bust measurement of 31” (S), 35” (M), 39” (L). The simple textured pattern easily allows modifications or alterations for different gauge, size and fit.

Written instructions only, no chart

Yarn requirements:

  • Size S&M: 2 skeins (310 yards) of each color, for a total of 800-1100 yards.
  • Size L: 3 skeins (400 yards) of each color, for a total of 1500 yards.

Please note this yardage is given for a sweater worked with waist shaping as described in the pattern. If you plan on changing the waist shaping section or skip it altogether, your project might require more yarn.

You will need to know the following techniques :

  • Knit, purl, knit 2 together, slip slip knit, double yarn over, make 1 stitch, slip 1 stitch with the yarn in front.
