These sea life themed sweaters and vests have ribbed welts and bands and a stocking stitch body with a sea life motif added to the centre front using the intarsia method, there are five lovely motifs to choose from; a lobster, a crab with baby, a turtle, seahorses or a dolphin. The motifs are worked using only two colours in a row which makes this an ideal pattern for those new to intarsia. The tops pictured are worked using a soft 100% cotton yarn in Aran weight, instructions for making a sweater or a vest are included.

The pattern covers sizes from age one to five with a good amount of positive ease, making them ideal for pulling on when the weather cools in the summer evenings. The instructions are written for knitting flat on two needles with the neckband and vest armbands knit in the round using a circular needle; notes on knitting these bands flat are included.
