I started on this blanket out of boredom--I’d taught my sister the 4-color spiral and it got my interest up in the pattern again. I love the idea of shapes in shapes, so after I finished making all the circular spirals, I squared them up, formed them into long strips and then into a big’ ol blanket.

Originally, I envisioned doing 10 of each color and doing 8 rows of 5 each. I think that would have made a nice blanket as well, but I really love the stripes as they are.
