The Sea Pink Top is inspired by a walk along the Scottish coast in spring, celebrating some of its colours: white sands, turquoise sea and the pink thrift flowers. It has been designed to wear on its own, or as a second layer over a long-sleeve t-shirt or blouse to add some warmth on cooler spring days.

The Sea Pink Top is knitted in Stocking stitch in the round, in one piece. The body is knitted first from the bottom up, followed by the sleeves, before they are all joined together. Short rows are added for a better fit before the colourwork yoke is knitted, following a chart.

OR in DK weight yarn which knits to the specified gauge and has similar stitch definition and drape. Alpaca yarn is less elastic than wool and might have the tendency to stretch, therefore swatching and blocking is essential. A yarn that contains wool would work well as a substitute, if using a different yarn.
