This pattern is inspired by the glimmering beauty of whales and is named for their protectors in the arctic during whaling season, the Sea Shepherds.

This cowl was knit up using only natural materials: alpaca and tussah silk fiber and wooden buttons.

The yarn was handspun by me to be a thick/thin bulky weight yarn (a super easy yarn to spin for beginners) and the Sterling, 70% alpaca/30% tussah silk fiber is from Natchwoolie’s shop (http://www.etsy.com/shop/natchwoolie). The last picture is of Sterling and is for display purposes only. (Sadly) it is not incuded in this listing. Please stop by Natchwoolie’s shop as she has many delicious fibers for you to spin from!
