Finish your favorite outfit with a stylish, short-sleeved cardigan! This lovely cardigan includes elements from classic 40’s and 50’s style garments and makes them new again! Knitted in striped Stocking Stitch, this pert piece incorporates single panels of Scallop Lace on the body and sleeves, adding interest and drawing the eye vertically. The classic ribbed front band features a generous shawl collar softly shaped by short rows. Worked in super soft Merino DK, it’s an ideal choice to span the seasons!

The body of this cardigan is worked back and forth in one piece from the bottom-up. Sleeves are worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom-up, then seamed. Front band/Collar is picked up and worked back and forth in rows.

Notes
-Body is worked back and forth in one piece from the bottom-up. Sleeves are worked back and forth in pieces from the bottom-up, then seamed. Front band/Collar is picked up and worked back and forth in rows.
-If you wish to add length to your cardigan, add additional stripes prior to armhole shaping. Each stripe will measure approximately 5.5 cm/ 2¼“, and will require additional yarn in the colour of each stripe, and an additional button per stripe. You will also need to pick up additional stitches along this section for the bands during finishing, requiring additional yarn in this colour as well.
-A one-stitch seam allowance is included on all vertical edges and is not reflected in the finished measurements. Due to the nature of Scallop Lace, stitch count will vary from row to row. When working striping pattern, carry color not in use along vertical edge of fabric, catching it into the end stitch every other row to prevent long floats
