• Size: 63in x 30in
• Yarn: Berroco Ultra Wool DK in Denim and Cream. I used about 4 and 6 skeins respectively
• Hook: 2.5mm

Difficulty: Intermediate

Although this blanket is worked up using only single crochet stitches, you should have experience with stranded colorwork and following a crochet color chart.

Construction

The Sea Turtle Blanket is constructed in one piece, from the bottom where the highest seaweed is up to the top of the turtle.

The chart provided is complex and on the small size, so I would recommend completing this pattern with a digital tool on hand (computer, ipad, phone, etc.) so that you may zoom in on whatever section you’re working on. I also highly recommend that you mark off rows as you go.

Gauge

Gauge isn’t super important for this pattern and you should be able to use other yarns of similar weight to achieve the same effect. However, the size of the blanket will vary.

Inspiration

This blanket was originally designed as a wedding gift for a turtle-loving friend of mine. However, it’s the perfect blanket for any animal lover!
