I absolutely love the Northern Atlantic Ocean in the fall. When North Light Fibers released their new yarn, Seaside, I immediately thought of the sea and sequential knitting. This pattern uses a repeating sequence throughout each section, which is varied by both variations in the sequence and the natural shaping of the shawl. The marls of the yarn create a beautiful blending effect. The overall pattern gradually swells outward with continuous movement, creating a subtle but beautiful textured piece. I found knitting this piece to be meditative, like the waves of the sea.

This shawl begins with a garter tab and increases outward. Skills used are the knit, purl, m1L & m1R. This pattern is available for sale here on Ravelry, but also free from Nina Chicago with your yarn purchase.
