The Seasons Change Sweater is an oversized cozy sweater that is beginner friendly with plenty of room for customization. It’s a sweater I dreamt up that would play with color but in a subtle and simple way. The pattern is written for a cropped fit but length modifications are included throughout (so you can tailor it to fit however you choose). With a wide boat neck perfect for layering, gorgeous textural stripe accents and a simple - easy to remember stitch pattern, this sweater is as fun to stitch as it is to wear!

Some details and what’s included:

  • Pattern is written in US crochet terms
  • Oversized fit with approx 4-8” positive ease
  • Size inclusive pattern written for CYC standard sizes XS-5X (to fit bust size 28”-62”)
  • Front and back body panels and sleeves are worked flat and then seamed
  • Links to seaming and stitch tutorials included
  • Instructions & modifications for 4 accent color, 2 accent color, 1 accent color and solid color versions
  • Body length and sleeve length modifications
  • Photo tutorials

The Seasons Change Sweater is truly customizable, especially in the color palette you choose! Whether you prefer 4, 2, or 1 accent color or even a completely solid sweater, yardage amounts are included for each version along with how to navigate the stripe pattern for each as well. Check out the many gorgeous tester photos to see examples of each option!

This pattern uses approx. 1300-3300 yds of #3 light/dk weight yarn and a size H (4.5mm) crochet hook (or size needed to obtain gauge). But keep in mind you will need more yarn if making length modifications. If you desire a longer less cropped fit, I recommend buying 1-2 extra skeins of the main color you’re using. The gauge is 19 sts x 17 rows = 4” in pattern (gauge swatch instructions are included in the pattern as well).
