Gauge is not really important in this pattern. Any weight yarn can be used for this pattern. Just keep in mind, this will affect the size of the finished pumpkin. Needles size recommended: one size smaller than chosen yarn, to create tighter stitches so that stuffing will not show. Samples were created using worsted and sock weight yarn plied together. This is a great stash buster project using left-over yarns.
