Secret Garden is a pretty design made using overlay mosaic crochet, worked from the centre outwards.
I originally designed it as a cushion for Crochet Now magazine (pattern available here), but I couldn’t resist extending the design to make a blanket … or to be more precise, 2 blankets!

• The first option is a throw made up of two sizes of square motifs, and measures 128cm;
• The second is worked continuously, repeating selected rounds until the blanket is the required size. The photos on this listing show two samples - a lap / baby blanket measuring 80cm, and a throw measuring 120cm, but you can stop whenever you wish.

Pattern includes full written instructions, alongside clear marked charts, and in-progress photos to help you see how it should look at various stages.

To simplify the abbreviations, and avoid the need for separate UK and US versions, the pattern is written in my ’Universal’ terms (I developed these terms for the Jacquard Temperature Blanket and have also used them in all my subsequent overlay mosaic crochet CALs and patterns).
