Have you dreamed of discovering a secret garden? A beautiful, magical hideaway that only you know about, where you can sit in peace in the sunshine and smell the intoxicating perfumes of the flowers, while the birds and bees give the perfect audio backdrop? This pattern was inspired by the idea of that beautiful secret little nook.

One size. Finished and blocked socks measure:
Length of the foot: approx. 23 cm/9.1”.
Circumference: approx. 21 cm/8.3”.
Size can be adjusted by using smaller or larger sized needles or thinner or thicker yarn.

Yarn used in sample:
MC: Järbo Junior Raggi 68401 (Natural White)
CC: Happy Sheep Magic Sock Wool 24 (Twilight)
Approximate weight needed (if sticking to gauge):
MC: 60 g
CC: 40 g

(One ball of yarn: 100gr = 425 meters/465 yards or 50 g = 210 meters/230 yards). Or any other yarn of the same weight, preferably a woolmix for socks, to make them more durable.

Needles: Magic loop or double pointed needles size 2 mm/US 0 and 2.75 mm/US 2, or whichever size needle is suitable for achieving gauge or change size. If you use magic loop, a cable of about 60-80 cm/25-30” is sufficient.

A piece of scrap yarn in a contrasting colour
Scissors

Gauge for colourwork:
Approx. 34 st/37 rows = 10 cm/4”.
