Utilitarian charm.

A tea cozy does the very important job of keeping your tea at the optimum temperature during steeping and deliciously hot ‘til you pour the next cup. We think they should be adorable too.

Our Seed Stitch Tea Cozy has several fun techniques but is definitely doable in an evening or two. It was designed by our own Karen Alfke for our Spring 2012 newsletter.

We’re all giddy about embroidery these days, so Karen included a plain stockinette panel you can embellish as simply—or as fancifully—as you like. Or omit the plain panel and make it seed stitch all over. Either way, it’s a charming housewarming, shower or hostess gift.
