Seedeaters are little songbirds that flock together and feed on…well…seeds. The slip stitches in this hat, with their colorful purl bumps that stand out from a Stockinette background, look like they could be mistaken for snacks by one of these adorable birds.

This hat is a quick knit that uses a luxurious bulky yarn with rich, shiny colors. One full skein of a main color and one partial skein of a “seed” color are required, and a third color for a pom pom is optional. You could of course make the pom pom out of your seed color.
