The Seeded Rib Mittens Pattern comes in 2 sizes: Mens & Womens. There are full, step by step video tutorials for both sizes. These are knit using the magic loop method and are super simple. The stitch pattern is just alternating knits and purls to create this really beautiful broken rib pattern.

MATERIALS
YARN - Worsted weight:
Womens: Approx. 110 yards {101 m}.
Mens: Approx. 145 yards (133 m).

Note 1: Yardage is per pair of mittens.
Note 2: Worsted is sometimes called Medium #4 yarn in big box stores. I believe in the UK worsted is called Aran, and in AUS it’s called 10 ply.
Note 3: These yardage/meterage amounts may be slightly different than yours. You will knit your mittens to your desired length and that may vary slightly from the sample.

Sample uses:Lion Brand Pound of Love (100% Acrylic Yarn - 1020 yards {932 m}/ 454g {16oz}) in the colorway ‘Taupe’.*

NEEDLES
US 8 {5.00 mm} at least 32″ (81 cm) circumference.
Or size needed to match gauge.

OTHER MATERIALS
Yarn Needle, Stitch Markers.

GAUGE
Seeded Rib - Worked in the Round.
18 sts / 26 rounds = 4″ {10 cm}.

How to Work Seeded Rib.
Note: Work in the Round.
CO Multiple of 4 stitches.
Round 1:K3, P1; repeat from * around.
Round 2: K1, P1, K3, P1; repeat from to 2 sts: K2*

SIZING
2 Sizes - Rounded to the nearest 0.25″ {0.5 cm}
Size A (Womens):
-- 8″ (20.5 cm) hand/wrist circumference and the height is customizable. The sample hand height is 7.5″ (19 cm} measured from the beginning of the thumb gusset section until the top of the hand (doesn’t include cuff length).
Size B (Mens):
-- 9″ (23 cm) hand/wrist circumference and the height is customizable. The sample hand height is 8.25″ (21 cm} measured from the beginning of the thumb gusset section until the top of the hand (doesn’t include cuff length).
