Seedling is a fun shawl that begins with a garter stitch triangle created using German short rows, and then sprouts into a series of angled panels. The gentle color shifts are achieved with Zauberperlen® Cotton, and by using the first color at the beginning and end of the project, the entire project feels unified.

This project is worked flat using the following techniques>

  • Long tail cast-on
  • Knitting and purling
  • Increasing
  • German short rows
  • Icelandic bind-off
  • Simple finishing
