Originally built by the Canadian National Railway in 1916, the Selkirk Trestle spans the width of the Gorge Waterway. Today this iconic bridge is a local favourite for pedestrians and cyclists.

Designed using Selkie, a fluffy yet lightweight silk/mohair blend hand-dyed by Handmaiden Fine Yarns, The Selkirk Trestle Scarf is knit in simple stockinette on the bias using large needles for an quick and satisfying project. It’s the perfect accessory to accompany you on a leisurely stroll along this historic landmark.

Sample used half a skein of each colour. You can knit the whole scarf with a single skein if desired.

GAUGE

15 sts x 32 rows = 10 cm (4”), in stockinette on the bias, after steam blocking.

Gauge is not critical but will impact finished size and meterage required.
