The Sendero Cowl is a fun project that uses easy stitches to create texture through ridges and openings just as a natural path would.

The cowl is crocheted from the top center. Increases are made at the edges and center to create a triangle. Once we are done with these increases we crochet evenly to give it height. It is then sewn together.

This pattern has been designed for the South Eastern Wisconsin Wandering Ewe Yarn Crawl where local yarn stores collaborated with Wisconsin independent dyers to create 10 unique colors. A list of the dyers and the colors used in the sample photographed is provided in the pattern.

The pattern is written in US standard terms.

Skill level: intermediate

SUGGESTED YARN and YARDAGE:
DK (CYC 3) weight yarn such as Fiber Fever Classic DK (231 yards per 100g)

HOOK:
US 9 / 5.5 mm or size needed to meet gauge.

GAUGE:
14 dc x 8 rows in 4”x4” / 10 cm x 10 cm worked flat.
