Senja Beanie
The Senja beanie is a crocheted beanie with a knitted look. The pattern includes numerous photos to illustrate each step, as well as a video tutorial. It also includes detailed instructions for the embroidery.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
LANGUAGE AVAILABLE: English and Norwegian
PATTERN TYPE: Made-to-measure, but the pattern does include standard measurements too.
The pattern is written in a “measure yourself” style, which means it does not contain any specific stitch counts, yardages, or gauges. It also means you can choose the yarn and yarn weight you want to work with. However, the pattern includes standard measurements that can be used if making a gift etc.
To make the Senja beanie, you need:
Yarn of your choice
A crochet hook that fits the chosen yarn, and a larger hook
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Stitch markers
(Measuring tape)
If you want to embroider on the beanie, you will also need:
Embroidery thread and needle
Or some fingering/sport weight yarn (perfect way to use yarn scraps)
How much yarn I used to make the samples (size M):
White beanie: 180 m / 195 yd of each strand
One strand of Soft Merino (Woolevo) held together with one strand of Tynn Kid Silk Erle (Dale Garn).
Grayish-brown beanie: 170 m / 185 yd
Drops Karisma
THIS IS A CROCHET PATTERN ONLY, NOT A FINISHED PRODUCT
