Crochet pattern amigurumi sensory puzzle

This puzzle is a tactile and sensory toy of Montessori inspiration.

I made this puzzle for my niece’s first birthday. The puzzle consists of a base and 4 tiles with a simple and colorful decoration in this case an home. Each card is different from the others and the Velcro squares are a perfect attraction for children. My one-year-old niece is still too small to compose the puzzle but anyway she enjoyed to remove and attach the cards and she associated the noise with that of the tear of her shoes.

This puzzle consists of a base ( 25 cm/ 10” side) and 4 cards ( 12 cm/5 “ side ). The dimensions are approximate and may vary depending on the yarn and the number of crochet used.

Materials:
* Schachenmayr cotton yarn ( 50g~125m / 1.75oz~137yds ) in colors indicated in the pattern;
* crochet hook nº2.5 mm
* A 20 cm strip of 5 cm wide velcro
* White sewing thread
* Thimble
* Pins
* Needles
* Scissors
* Ruler

GAUGE: not essential.

The pattern is suitable for an intermediate level of crochet knowledge. You should know basic crochet stitches including chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, double triple crochet, decrease or sc2tog and how to start with a magic ring.

The pdf file is of 65 pages the English version and 70 pages the Italian version. It contains more of 200 step-by-step photos, charts in the universal crochet language and clearly explained instructions.
