The Seraphina Bonnet is worked from the back starting with very few sts. The crown is worked by working yo inc. Once the crown is completed a couple of rows of twisted rib is worked and then the eyelet pattern and stockinette st. The brim is finished with a border of twisted rib. Sts are picked up along the underside of the bonnet and a border of twisted rib is worked.

  • 50 grams of yarn for size 4 mm (U.S. size 6) needles (the bonnets in the picture in made in Knitpicks Wool of the Andes Sport colors Haze Heather (#25657) and Dove Heather (#25656) (50 gram = 125 meters/136 yards)

  • Size 4 mm (U.S. size 6) double pointed needles or 80 or 100 cm (32 or 40 inches) circular needles for magic loop (or size to obtain gauge)

  • Size 4 mm (U.S. size 6) circular needles, 40 cm (16 inches)
