September 15 is Make a Hat Day, and I’m releasing the third mystery hat in my Make a Hat Secret series: Serendipity Secret.
If you’ve made Shadow Secret or Sylvan Secret, you know we have mystery. But this Secret has a different vibe from the first two, with lots of colors and lots of stitch patterns.

How the mystery works

Serendipity Secret is divided into 8 sections. On September 15, beginning in the morning, I’ll release the sections an hour or two apart, so you can knit along and watch the mystery unfold. We’ll close it up that evening.

And there’s a little extra incentive: everyone who finishes by the end of September 16 will be eligible for a prize, with one winner chosen at random. (Sorry, U.S. only.)

The supply list is available now, so you can gather your yarn and be ready to go. You’ll need scraps of 9 colors of worsted-weight yarn. You won’t need much of any one color — no more than 35 yards of any color, and some considerably less.
