Serendipity Shawl is an on-the-bias asymmetrical shawl featuring variegated pops of colour and easy-to-knit contrasting panels of textured lace and garter stitch. This shawl is great for those unpredictable days when the weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind; mesh for ventilation, garter stitch for warmth and coziness. It uses one kit of Montreal hand-dyer Valentina Colour Works’ Colour Transition Bundle 250g DK, or 5 individual 50g skeins of 125m of DK weight yarn. Try it in a gradient, with speckles, or in 5 solid colours of your choosing!

Gauge isn’t important as long as you like the drape it gives you. However, the lace will grow a lot with blocking, so if you want to be thorough about swatching, make sure to block your swatch.

Techniques used:
cast on; knit; sl1; kfb; p; k2tog; psso; yo; cast off

Finished dimensions after blocking: (approx)
94” wide X 22” at longest point
