•Approximately 500yds /450m, 3,52 oz /100 g of light fingering weight yarn.
Yarn used in the sample: 500yds /450m of 100% Mulberry silk 500yds /450m; 3,52 oz /100 g skein;
•US 6/4mm circular needle
•Notions :
stitch markers, Tapestry needle

(Any weight yarn & corresponding needle size can be used, however the finished measurements will be different than the sample)

GAUGE
22 sts x 32 rows = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette swatch (after blocking)

PATTERN NOTES
Serendipity is a half circle shawl which is worked top-down. This pattern is based on Herbert Niebling’s pattern, Kreuztanne. The pattern is in chart only, there is no row by row written instructions.

The shawl is adjustable in size by adding the main repeat.
The sample is worked in 3 main pattern repeats. Simply add the main pattern repeat for more crescent shape, for maximum 6 repeats (as the shawl will form a full
circle in 7 main pattern repeats).

YARDAGE (the yardage will be vary, depend on the fiber type, yarn weight, needle size and knitting tension)
3 main repeats: ±450-550m
4 main repeats: ±550-650m
5 main repeats: ±650-750m
