This design was conceived in a contemplation garden near my home. It provides me with inspiration and serenity. Now the scarf gives me those same feelings every time I wear it. I have shared my vision of the garden in the pattern notes but invite you to “weave your own yarn as you knit”.

The pattern is knit end to end and is a combination of changing stitch patterns anchored by a ‘path’. Your finished size will depend on the yarn and needle you choose. The small scarf (in sea green) was knit in Koigu KPM , 4 skeins on 3mm needles. The large shawl/wrap (in cream) was knit in Briggs and Little ‘Regal’, 4 skeins on 3.5mm needles.

The shawl was also “knit” by Meg, a character in French Roulette, book 2 in my cozy knit mystery series featuring a group of knitters in the small town of Port Oxford. You can buy the books through any major bookseller including Amazon.com, Smashwords, Kobo.Chapters/Indigo and Apple Books.
