“Sestra” is the Ukrainian pronunciation for sister, and this shawl was designed in honor of two beloved sisters, Grocery Girls Tracie and Jodi, using the custom colorways they inspired. Knit with one skein each of La Bien Aimée Merino Singles and Mohair Silk in Sienna and Jasper, Sestra Shawl takes you on a journey of texture and color. A bind-off/cast-on technique creates lines of horizontal stitches that separate 13 vertical sections, each one highlighting the yarn’s beauty. It’s an addictive project you won’t want to put down. The result is a stunning shawl that you can wrap around yourself like a sisterly hug.
