Seventies Supergraphics Top
Perfect on its own or layered, this seventies inspired top will bring a retro feel to any outfit.
The top is worked up stripes first, and then the main colour is built off of that, and the colour combinations are endless! This top works best with a size 3/light worsted/dk cotton yarn or any other yarn with a light feel and soft drape once constructed.
This pattern gives steps on how to make it with a corset back to allow for adjustability, but you can always make it a looser tank top by making the panel wider and sewing it up at the back. You can also make your top as long as you’d like! It’s quite a versatile top once you understand how to work up the stripes sections.
Gauge is worked 9dc across over 6 rows to obtain a 2x2” square.
Highly suggested to look into the “golden loop method” to ensure you understand tension. If you cannot obtain gauge, change your hook size.
