The Best Choices: Merino wool, or wool blends featuring alpaca or mohair. These fibers give the cables wonderful bounce, warmth, and structure.

What to Avoid : 100% synthetic yarns, pure alpaca, or pure cashmere. While lovely, they tend to drape too heavily and won’t hold the deep, plump definition of these cables.
