This hat celebrates Stargate: Atlantis. It contains a dart/jumper motif, the glyph address from earth to Atlantis, and a quote from the stairs in Atlantis. The crown of the hat represents Atlantis as seen from above.

It’s worked in the round up - in stranded knitting. A second needle is needed for a provisional cast on - to make the hat band doubled.

I used Knit Picks Stroll for the hat since I have a lot of bits and pieces of that yarn. Any fingering weight yarn would do. For colors, I used dusk, tidepool heather, white, carbon twist, buckskin, and some pinkish tan yarn. Only the first three colors are still available now.

No more than half a skein of any one color was used. I used less than 5 yds of the pinkish tan yarn. I don’t think that more than 150 yds of any one color was used.
