Two panels of seed stitch surrounds the cable in the middle of the scarf. I-cord in contrasting color adds finishing touch of elegance and interest. I-cord cast on and bind off is used. If you would like to make the scarf longer, repeat the chart one or two additional times, before making the final Row 1 – 40 repeat. In that case you will need extra skein of MC yarn. For an easier reading of the chart I have added background colors for the various cable stitch.

Gauge: 20 sts & 27 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch.
18 sts & 28 rows = 4” in seed stitch.
24 sts & 28 rows = 4” in cable pattern, blocked.
