Due to my cognitive disabilities, I am unable to do e.g. size gradings and coordinate a large test. For this reason, this pattern comes in one size only and in English only. However I am doing my very best to offer a well written pattern and include size modification tips.

I have been holding back my designs due to the above, but adventurous knitters have encouraged me to publish my patterns. They tell me, they are able to make their own modifications, and I want to accommodate them with my patterns.

Pay what you wish
I offer my patterns at a variable price structure. I’d like the acknowledgement of the work behind a design, but I also acknowledge that I don’t offer an extensive instruction. So I will let you decide what the right price is for you. Feel free to use the coupons below at check-out.

YouTube video about the Design and other designs

The Shadoves Sweater is a striped sweater with a twist. Using shadow knitting and slipped stitches gives both vertical and horizontal stripes. It is really fun and engaging when unfolding.

The Shadoves sweater is knitted top down starting with a folded rib collar, followed by a raised neckline and then a round yoke construction. The shadow pattern can be continued down the sleeves and body for a decorative effect throughout. OR the body and sleeves can be knitted in plain stockinette stitches. Instructions for both variants are included in the pattern.

Size/measurements
This pattern design comes in one size only. Please read the disclaimer on the Ravelry pattern page.
However the size can be modified according to your choice. I have provided a table in the pattern with the amount of stitches for each section, and I have provided it with suggestions on where to subtract or add stitches.

Finished measurements
Sweater is knitted in size L.
Bust circumference 108 cm / 42½”. Approximately 2½ / 1” smaller if knitting the shadow pattern on the body.
Neckline circumference 46 cm / 18”.
Upper arm circumference 38 cm / 15”.
Length measured on the front from under collar to bottom 56 cm / 22”.

Yarn
Handdyed4you DK Cashmere Merino (80% merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon). 225 m per 100 g.
However you can choose any kind of yarn that matches the gauge and your preference.

Use a dark and a light color. Main color (MC) is the dark color, Contrast color (CC) is the light color, but you can switch the colors around. If choosing handdyed yarn, MC must be a solid color for the shadow pattern to stand out.

Yardage
Yardage for a size L is approximately 1500 - 1700 m / 1640 - 1860 yards.
If knitting the version with the shadow pattern only in the yoke and stockinette stitches for body and sleeves, approximately 230 m / 250 yards of CC is needed.
If knitting the version with the shadow pattern throughout the sweater, 4 skeins are needed for MC, and almost 3½ skeins for CC.
