I made these pencil toppers as a St. Patrick’s Day gift for my third-grade students. They are fairly simple, with each taking about 10-15 minutes to complete after I memorized the pattern. The leaves on the clover are worked in the round, then the two remaining stitches will be worked in the front and back loops to create another round tube to go over the top of the pencil. I’ve also included instructions on how to work the clover with a flat stem if you’d prefer to use it as pin or applique. You could also work a pretty bead or button into the center of the clover if you’d like a little extra embellishment. Enjoy!
