I am a HUGE fan of the Grocery Girls podcast, and they have the BEST logo. In honor of their two year pod-i-versary, I designed this hat featuring their yarn-filled grocery cart. Happy Pod-I-Versary, Jodi and Tracie!!!! I love you ladies!

This hat is knit in-the-round, bottom up, with corrugated ribbing to start, Fair Isle stranding for the grocery carts, and duplicate stitching for the colorful yarn balls. Finish with a great big pom-pom in one of the yarn colors, or go crazy with a giant faux fur pom!

Yarn: fingering weight: 180 (220, 265, 325) yds/ 170 (202, 245, 300) meters MC; 50 (60, 70, 80) yds/ 45 (55, 65, 75)meters CC1; 10 (12, 14, 16) yds/ 9 (11, 13, 15) meters each of CC2, CC3, and CC4, plus additional yarn for pom-pom.

I used Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light in Silver Fox for my MC; Malabrigo Yarn Mechita in Hollyhock for my CC; and Oink Pigments Oink Sock, in Le Pink, Teal Appeal, and Dill With It for CC2-4.

My favorite part of designing is seeing your projects, so please share on Ravelry and tag me on Instagram @melissakdesigns and #knittingmelissa.

If you haven’t watched the Grocery Girls, check them out on YouTube- they are wonderfully funny and inspiring. They have me in stitches every episode! ;)
