This shawl is like a never ending story in a way because you create your own shawl “story” knitting a one of a kind original based on the pattern’s suggestions. Mix up the stripes in any order (except for the very first one), make each stripe any desired length and use whatever weight yarn is desired from fingering to worsted weight, which means use the appropriate needle size for that particular yarn weight.

The wingspan should be long (the depth is somewhat shallow) making it a great wrap to be worn as a shawl or a scarf, knotted on one side or use a beautiful shawl pin if desired.

Note that there is an option for a completely reversible shawl by knitting eyelets as the colors change or use the simpler technique of Garter stitch without the yarn over eyelet stitches.
