Hook and yarn used in pattern sample is Bendigo Woollen Mills 8ply (DK) Cotton and a 2.10mm hook for creating a firm applique. You can use any DK weight yarn and an appropriate hook, but be aware that the finished size and firmness will vary from that shown.
