Knit the cool sequin knit poncho with this beginner-friendly and free knit poncho pattern. It’s perfect for festivals and summer vacations!

Yarn: Lana Grossa Cosmo in color desert yellow (09).
Check substitute yarns from the free pattern! For seaming the panels together with a tapestry needle, you’ll also need sport weight cotton yarn of similar color. If you seam the panels with a crochet hook using single crochet stitches, you can use the sequin yarn.

Yardage (Lana Grossa Cosmo): sizes XXS-M 260 m/284 yds (100 g/ 3.5 oz) and sizes L-3XL 520 m/568 yds (200 g / 7 oz).

Tools: 7 mm circular knitting needles 40 or 60 cm, stitch markers (optional) and a tapestry needle or a crochet hook for seaming.

Gauge: 11-12 stitches and 22 rows in 10 cm (4”) in stockinette stitch.

Sizes XXS-XS, S-M, L-XL and 2XL-3XL. The model in the photos wears size S-M.

The poncho stretches a lot so exact measurements are challenging to take. The poncho has a positive ease.

The measurements for one panel without stretching are:
XXS-XS: ~70×25 cm (~28×10″). The first one is the width and the second one is the height.
S-M: ~75×30 cm (~30×12″)
L-XL: ~80×35 cm (~32×14″)
2XL-3XL: ~85×40 cm (~34×16″)
