This is a pattern for a wrap. It is knitted in the manner that many of the traditional lace shawls were knitted, however, it is knitted with a heavy weight fingering yarn, making it a much faster and easier project than a Shetland shawl. The center panel is a “true” lace, and the border is knitted on after the center panel has been completed. There are two distinct lace stitches contained within this pattern, both of which blend together nicely.

Skill Level: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of lace knitting).

The pattern for the stitches are both charted and written out line by line.

The wrap was expertly pattern tested by Barbara Robertson, who can be contacted at: Barb. Robertson@ gmail.com, and who is known on Ravelry as “NanaKnits4Us.” The yarn used in the sample was Fiesta’s Baby Boom, in colorway, Salmon Run.
